Meet Christian -
Hi, so happy you found us. Let me tell you a little about myself and why I love teaching women about their bodies and empowering them to take control of their pelvic floor health.
My name is Christian McSoud, I have been a physical therapist for 24 years and have been specializing in pelvic floor physical therapy for about 15 of those years. I became certified as a pelvic rehabilitation practitioner in 2022. Not everyone working in pelvic floor physical therapy is certified and that really does take another level of commitment and education to be certified.
I have been working for the past 12 years for a large Urology Clinic in Oklahoma. I am the sole pelvic floor PT for about 25 physicians. I love what I do and I love filling in the gaps for women when they say, “I had no idea bladder or pelvic therapy was a thing.” I love seeing the lightbulb moments and enjoy seeing the renewed since of hope at the end of their very first session. A little bit of knowledge can go a long ways.
I desired to do something through a social media platform because I had so many patients who would say, “why didn’t anyone tell me this earlier” or “I saw this exercise online or I heard this tip online and have been trying to do these little tips”. What I noticed was they had bits and pieces of information and no real way to put it all together.
My desire is to put all the information together in a format that allows women to understand why they are doing these exercises or implementing these tips. Much like the quote: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. Giving someone an exercise or a tip can create a bit of a change, however its often temporary. I want to do more, I want to teach woman how their anatomy works, what muscles they are targeting and why. When you understand your body, you are not just following instructions; you are building a skill set you can use forever.
Exercise alone can create temporary change.
Education creates change for a lifetime.
Join Pelvic Pathways on this journey to learning about your body, building confidence and empowering yourself with knowledge that supports better bowel, bladder and sexual health. This is a space for anyone ready to improve their quality of life through education, awareness and movement that truly makes sense.
Looking forward to our journey together.
