What is Normal Bladder Patterns?
Have you ever wondered what is normal when it comes to your bladder? While there is a wide range of normal, do you fall in this range? If you don’t, you might benefit from pelvic floor physical therapy!
Here are some signs that you have a healthy bladder!
1. You have tegular urination patterns! Your typical frequency is about 6 to 8 times a day. Nighttime urination (nocturia) should be minimal, ideally once or not at all.
2. You have minimal discomfort when you go to the restroom. You should be in no pain and not have any burning sensation during urination. This includes, no urgency or incontinence issues present, and you shouldn’t have to push your pee out!
3. Your urine looks normal! Urine should be light yellow to amber in color, indicating proper hydration. Clear urine is generally a sign of good health, while dark urine may indicate dehydration.
4. You have an absence of symptoms. You have no signs of infection, such as strong odor, cloudy appearance, or blood in urine and no frequent urges to urinate without producing much urine.
Maintaining a healthy bladder involves proper hydration, a balanced diet, and regular medical check-ups if any issues arise.
